Howdy, New NAB Radio Board!
• The NAB announced the results of the 2023 NAB Radio and Television Board of Directors elections. The two-year terms of these elected board members will begin in June 2023. Brand new board members below are listed in italics; other Board members have been re-elected. Here now are results of the NAB Radio Board Elections (odd-numbered districts):
District 1 — New England: Allen Power, President of Broadcast Media, Salem Media Group
District 3 — PA: Collin Jones, EVP, Strategy and Development, Cumulus Media
District 5 — WV, KY: Mike Tarter, President/CEO, Forcht Broadcasting
District 7 — FL, PR, VI: Dave Hoxeng, Catalyst, ADX Communications
District 9 — GA, AL: Nick Martin, General Manager, Big River Broadcasting
District 11 — OH: Matt Mnich, Chairman & CEO, North American Broadcasting, Inc.
District 13 — MI: Julie Koehn, President & CEO, Lenawee Broadcasting Company and Southeast Michigan Media (Note: this appointment is effective in June 2023, when Chris Ornelas will be appointed to a designated seat vacated by Bill McElveen, who has termed out).
District 15 — TN, AR: Kenneth W. Forte, President & Co-Owner, R&F Communications
District 17 — IL: Dana Withers, President & CEO, Withers Broadcasting/Dana Communications/Stone Canyon Media
District 19 — OK, N. TX: Will Payne, Owner, Payne Media Group
District 21 — MN, ND, SD: Nic Anderson, Director, Government Affairs/GM, Minneapolis, Salem Media Group.
District 23 — N. CA, AK: Felipe Chavez, Chief Operating Officer, Bustos Media
District 25 — OR, WA: Tery Garras, VP of Radio, Morgan Murphy Media
Other Appointments:
Effective immediately, Joel McCrea, Market President, iHeartMedia Des Moines, IA will assume the District 14 (IA, WI) board seat held by Gabe Fleet, formerly of iHeartMedia.
Effective in June 2023: Conrad Trautmann, CTO of Cumulus Media, will be appointed to the designated seat held by Cumulus Pres./CEO Mary Berner.
