Let’s Talk Sales

• Entercom New Orleans has named Gene Vidler as Director of Sales for WEZB (B97), WKBU (Bayou 95.7), WWWL-AM (Hot 103.7), WLMG (Magic 101.9) and WWL-AM & FM. “We are very happy to welcome Gene to the Entercom New Orleans team,” said Chris Wegmann, SVP/Market Manager. “His experience and success in radio make him a great fit for our stations and the Saints Network. In essence he is returning back to where he spent his formative years in New Orleans.”

Vidler started his radio sales career in 1993 at Great Empire Broadcasting’s KWKH/Shreveport, LA. In 2000, Vidler joined Cox Media Group in Tulsa, OK as an Account Manager. He was later upped to GSM, and eventually, VP/Market Manager, a role he held until 2015. More recently he was VP of Sales for Tyler Media’s nine-station cluster in Oklahoma City.

Vidler said, “This is a dream job for me — working for radio stations that I grew up listening to as a kid and getting to work with the greatest football brands in the world. I’m really excited to be a part of the Entercom team and look forward to getting to work with some of the best in the business.”

• Alpha Media, Lubbock, TX has named Colleen Murphy as Director of Sales.
