Meder Named VP/MM, CMG Tampa Bay

• Cox Media Group keeps it in the family and announces that Jason Meder, VP/Market Manager of CMG Radio in Orlando, will transfer to the VP/Market Manager post at CMG Tampa. Meder will succeed Keith Lawless, whose resignation as RVP/GM of CMG Tampa Bay & Houston is effective Sept. 2.

In his new Tampa Bay post, Meder will oversee Alternative 97X, Classic Hits WXGL (107.3 The Eagle), Top 40 WPOI (HOT 101.5), AC WWRM (Magic 94.9), FM Talk WHPT (102.5 The Bone), and Soft AC 105.5 WDUV.

Meder joined CMG 20 years ago as a media consultant for CMG Tampa and worked his way up to General Sales Manager, Director of Sales, GM, to his current position as VP/Market Manager for CMG Orlando. “Jason’s leadership, creativity and strategic approach have led to outstanding results for our employees, listeners, and advertisers in Orlando. He’s leaving the market in much better condition than when he arrived,” said Rob Babin, CMG EVP of Radio. “Orlando remains a crucial market for CMG, and I will immediately begin the search for a new VP/Market Manager to continue our team’s success there. I know that Jason will make a positive impact in this new role in Tampa, building on the consistent success that our team in Tampa produces every year.”
