Play Golf & Pickleball With BFOA
• The Broadcasters Foundation of America will hold its annual Celebrity Golf Tournament and Fundraiser on Monday, Sept. 9 at the Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, NY.
That same day, the BFOA will also debut the BFOA Pickleball Challenge from 3 to 5pm, followed by cocktails and dinner. The Pickleball Challenge is designed to give junior-level broadcast pros the opportunity to network with their peers and executives, learn more about the Foundation’s charitable purpose, and have fun!
“It’s vital that we embrace the new generation of broadcast professionals who have joined our industry,” said Tim McCarthy, President of the Broadcasters Foundation. “The Pickleball Challenge also enables those that do not play golf to participate in the Celebrity event and enjoy the evening’s festivities. In addition to individual players, we hope to see corporate and market cluster challenges on the Pickleball courts.”
Leo MacCourtney, President & CEO of Katz Television Group and Vice Chair & Treasurer of the BFOA Board of Directors, will serve as your 2024 Celebrity Golf Chair. “The Celebrity Golf Tournament is the second largest Fundraiser for the Broadcasters Foundation,” MacCourtney said. “The funds we raise are essential to continuing the Foundation’s mission. Requests for aid continue to escalate and we must be there to help every broadcaster who qualifies.”
