Smith Named VP/MM, Cumulus Oxnard-Ventura

• Cumulus Media has appointed Bill Smith as the new VP/Market Manager for its four-station group serving Oxnard-Ventura, CA. He succeeds Sommer Frisk, who recently joined Connoisseur Media as Palm Springs Market Manager & Regional Manager for Alaska and Salt Lake City.

Smith arrives on the scenic California coast from Bakersfield, where he was GM of American General Media’s stations. Prior to that, he was Local Sales Manager for Hearst Television in Sacramento, and Director of Sales for News Press Gazette Television in Idaho Falls, ID.
