Wolkoff Named COO of Sun Broadcast Group
• Gen Media Partners is proud to announce longtime network radio exec Danno Wolkoff has been named Chief Operating Officer of Sun Broadcast Group, the company’s general market network division. Wolkoff is best known for building Envision Networks into one of the most successful and prominent content and affiliate services providers in network radio. Along with co-founder & partner Laura Orkin, Wolkoff stayed on when Envision was acquired by Gen Media Partners, through Sun Broadcast Group, in January of this year.
A clearly thrilled Warren Friedland, Managing Partner of Gen Media Partners, stated, “I am thrilled to have Danno leading the operations of our network division. We see a lot of opportunity for us to grow, and we are optimistic about achieving our goals of making Sun one the largest radio networks in the USA.”
No less thrilled and/or excited is Danno himself, who remarked, “I’m as excited as I’ve ever been in my career to lead the growth of Sun Broadcast Group. Kevin Garrity, CEO of Gen Media Partners also announced that SBG has created two additional New York-based ad sales positions with the hire of Jackie Cardillo and Angela Codella, both of whom will report directly to Wolkoff. Sun is also adding to its staff in the Cleveland office. This expansion is testimony to the strong growth Sun is experiencing now, and in the future, despite COVID-19.
