Bud & Broadway Driving Tulsa Home

• Griffin Communications’ Country 98.5 KVOO/Tulsa announced the impending arrival of the syndicated duo Bud and Broadway to do afternoon drive, starting December 7. “I’ve admired the talent of Bud and Broadway as a competitor and feel very lucky to have them on a legendary station like KVOO,” said Steve Hunter, Director of Radio Operations for Griffin Tulsa. “Combined with our team of incredibly talented people, especially our new morning show, I know this will be a lot of fun.” Indeed, Bud and Broadway will serve as the afternoon drive bookend to another veteran wake-up duo, Tige & Daniel who this month are joining KVOO to do mornings, alongside current co-host Amber Glaze.

Bud Ford and Jerry Broadway were initially teamed up over 10 years ago on WTVY/Dothan, AL, and  are no strangers to the Tulsa market, having previously worked across the street on iHeartMedia rival KTGX (Twister 106.1). They have also cracked the mic at WKDF/Nashville and WTNR/Grand Rapids, MI and most recently spent four years in mornings on Hubbard Radio Country 92.3 WIL-FM/St. Louis until May 2020. Two months ago the guys made the leap into syndication, produced and distributed by Houston-based SuiteRadio, and are currently heard on nearly a dozen stations.

“We couldn’t be any more excited about returning to Tulsa radio,” said Broadway. “We plan on picking up exactly where we left off the last time we were on the air! And as if it wasn’t already good enough, we get to work with our friends Tige, Daniel and Amber. 2020 has been rough, but it’s ending on a high note!” Bud exclaimed, “This is the best news ever! We get to work with friends, and be on a legendary Country station to boot. Thanks KVOO! We look forward to seeing you in the streets of Tulsa soon.”
