Detroit Wakes Up With Morning Hustle
• Radio One Urban WGPR (Hot 107.5)/Detroit announced its new morning show — The Morning Hustle comes to the Motor City starting Monday, July 15. Yes, it’s the same Morning Hustle, with Angie Ange, “On-Air” Jordan and Lore’l that is based at Urban sister WKYS/Washington and officially launched in May.
In making the announcement, Kathy Stinehour, VP/General Manager of Radio One Detroit, commented, “We think the vibe of this new show will really resonate with Detroiters. The chemistry between Angie, Lore’l and Jordan is electric and unfiltered. Detroiters will remember Jordan from his time as ‘Shorty Da Prince’ doing nights on Hot some years back. He was No. 1 at night and we are delighted he is coming back to the D.”
The Morning Hustle will run weekdays from 6-10am and succeeds The Morning Heat with Big Greg and Afrika — Afrika exits and Big Greg moves to middays starting Monday, July 8, succeeding Alexandria “Ally The Pub” Washington, who left last week.
