Ferrell Takes Bert Show To Pleasure Town

• Last Friday, the Westwood One-syndicated The Bert Show received a huge surprise in the form of actor Will Ferrell, who came strolling into the studio, surprising the entire cast, with the exception of host Bert Weiss, who exclaimed, “I’ve been setting you up for days. It worked out perfectly!”

As it turns out, Ferrell was in Atlanta to canvas for Georgia Gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. Ferrell explained, “We were lucky enough to go to a dinner in Los Angeles a couple of months ago. We were completely blown away as to what an amazing person she is, what an amazing candidate she is.” Ferrell said he later approached members of Abrams’ team to offer his services by coming to Atlanta to personally knock on doors and ensure people were registered to vote. “We’re out here just to remind people how important this election is… not only for Georgia, but also for the entire country,” he said.

Needless to say, Ferrell’s visit wasn’t all business — knowing that co-host Kristin Klingshirn was a huge Will Ferrell fan; Bert surprised her by arranging for Ferrell to act out a scene from Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy with her. Later, a still-flushed Klingshirn said, “In my fifteen years of doing radio, this is my favorite moment ever!”
