Giving Thanks Always In Season

As they do every year, our friends of the Benztown Brigade volunteered Monday evening at the E.J. Jackson Foundation Turkey Giveaway, which feeds over 10,000 Los Angeles citizens in need every Thanksgiving. This annual charitable event, now in its 34th year served long lines of people that stretched for blocks in South L.A., as they waited patiently to receive a turkey with all the trimmings — cornbread, greens, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, fresh produce, cookies, water and more, all graciously donated by the E.J. Jackson Foundation, whose mission is to feed as many hungry families, senior citizens and veterans as humanly possible throughout the year.

Benztown’s L.A. employees (including President Dave “Chachi” Denes, Director of Programming and Imaging Justin Case, Director of International Sales Nadine Ellman, Marketing Asst. Sydney Burgoyne, Imaging and Production Director for Jack FM, Flashback and Adrenaline, Kevin Horton, Director of Marketing Chris Johansing and Executive Asst. Cammy Linn) and their friends and families have joined them in this amazing community service effort for the past five years. Founder E.J. Jackson died earlier this month, but his legacy proudly lives on, thanks to this fabulous annual community service event.

• And on that heartwarming note, on behalf of Steve Resnik, Graphics Goddess Sonia Horne and myself, the RAMP family would like to wish your family a very Happy Thanksgiving. As 2016 winds down, we truly have a lot to be thankful for, and we hope you have the chance to spend the next few days sharing food and precious time with your friends and loved ones. We will see you back here bright and early next Monday, Nov. 28! — Kevin Carter
