Hager On Tour With Armstrong
Nice to hear from longtime Austin radio personality JB Hager, who will be spending the next three weeks in beautiful Aspen, CO co-hosting Stages, a daily Tour de France re-cap alongside a guy who is certainly familiar with the long and winding roads in France — Hager’s longtime friend, Lance Armstrong. Hager explains, “Our relationship began back in 1996, my first year doing mornings in Austin, and Lance was coming off of his bout with cancer and had just started the Lance Armstrong Foundation. I supported his cause during its first year and he was an annual supporter of our radio efforts and charity, Bikes for Kids over the years.”
Stages will features special guest appearances, course previews and race analysis from Armstrong’s distinctive point of view, which takes listeners deep inside the world’s most iconic cycling race. In addition to a daily recap of all the action, Armstrong, who also hosts The Forward podcast, will share anecdotes from his years racing Le Tour. New Stages episodes will air about an hour after each stage finish, right through July 23.
