Jared & Katie Expand Into Savannah
• Dick Broadcasting embarks on an exciting brand extension adventure for its Jared and Katie in the Morning show, based at WKZL/Greensboro — the crew is stepping into the world of syndication and venturing out beyond the Greensboro city limits (and the North Carolina state line) as it’s picked up to fill the wake-up vacancy at Top 40 sister WGCO (Hot 98.3)/Savannah, GA.
Jason Goodman, VP of Programming for Dick Broadcasting (and a Jared & Katie cast member), notes, “Jared and Katie took over the morning show six years ago on WKZL. Since then, they have developed into a high profile show that has memorable and engaging content with a wide range of emotions. Jared and Katie have won the NCAB Morning Show of the Year in 2017 and have led WKZL to be a nationwide Marconi finalist for Station of the Year in 2017 and upcoming in 2018 at the NAB in late September.
