• Finally… the news can be revealed — Jim Clerkin has returned to Boston as the newly named Executive Producer of the Boston.com Morning Show on Entercom Talk WRKO. The show is hosted by Kim Carrigan and Doug “VB” Goudie. RAMP reached out to WRKO PD Michael Czarnecki for comment, and he told us, “We are very excited to have Jim joining the team. He is a well-known Boston talent. That, along with his programming and talent management experience made him stand out among the overwhelming amount of talented candidates that came through.”
Clerking (left) famously spent 16 years across the street with iHeartMedia Boston, eight of those as APD/MD of WXKS (Kiss 108). He also produced Matty Siegel‘s morning show and was MD of former EDM outlet Evolution 101.7. He most recently programmed SummitMedia Hot AC WPYA (97.3 Play)/Birmingham, AL until November 2016.
• Jason Garte, Founder & President of The Mix Group recently made a television appearance on Business Rockstars. As the largest entrepreneurial business platform across broadcast, mobile and social, Business Rockstars was intrigued by the evolution and growth of The Mix Group and Garte’s insight on what it takes to turn what was once a two-person operation into a multi-million dollar company.
