Strong Finish For Tino Cochino
• The YEA Networks-syndicated Tino Cochino Radio heads into the holidays with more positive momentum – just days after renewing co-host Serina Perez for another two years, Tino announced that founding member Nicasio has also inked a two-year extension. Nicasio (left) has been with the show since 2017 when he was an on-air mixer at KKFR/Phoenix.
Tino said, “‘Proud’ is an understatement. The commitment to character development when it comes to Nicasio is unmatched. Period. He continues to not only make us laugh but also question, ‘Did he really just say that?’ day in and day out. Love him or hate him, his authentic approach has made him a fan favorite and we couldn’t be more excited to extend his contract for another two years.” Nicasio, who usually has a lot to say, expressed himself in proper PPM fashion, saying, “Super excited to re-up. I feel like we’re just getting started even though it’s been five years. Next year is gonna hit different.”
But Wait! There’s More! Just in time for Christmas, Tino Cochino Radio adds its 12th affiliate this year – morning drive on XHMIX-FM (Power 98 Jamz), serving El Centro, CA, Yuma, AZ and Mexicali, Mexico, starting Dec. 26.
“A station a month… 12 new affiliates in a year. Impressed is the first word that comes to mind,” Tino said. “When my business partner Mikey Fuentes decided to put his full-time energy into what we created I knew it was only up from that moment. His continuous search for new affiliates, alongside YEA Networks’ Scott Kerr has been an amazing thing to watch. Their commitment to TCR is something I’ll forever appreciate.
