Syndication Still Fitz

On the heels of yesterday’s announcement of his departure from mornings on Entercom Country KKWF (100.7 The Wolf)/Seattle, Fitz and syndicator Sun Broadcast Group want to gently remind radio that Fitz is here to stay from coast to coast! Fitz is heard on nearly 200 affiliates across America, including The Fitz Show, enjoyed weekday mornings across 20+ affiliates, The Hitlist with Fitz recaps the hits every weekend on 80 affiliates, and his daily Country news feature, Nashville Minute is carried on 94 affiliates.

Fitz commented, “I’m deeply grateful to Entercom, its management and to our amazing listeners for allowing me to host this morning show for the last 12 years. One of the most exciting days of my career was being there for the launch of The Wolf Seattle over a dozen years ago and remaining part of one of city’s most successful brands. I wish The Wolf and its staff nothing but the best and look forward with great excitement to my future ahead.” He continued, “Meanwhile, I’ll still be VERY much connecting with listeners through my daily syndicated projects. Our industry is changing by the day and I am excited to be a part of the ground breaking process of creating the sound of tomorrow.”

Julio Aponte, COO of Sun Broadcast Group said, “We’re thrilled with the growth of the three Fitz properties over the years, and are looking forward to more amazing content, partnerships and continued success.” For more information on The Fitz Show, The Hit List with Fitz, or Nashville Minute with Fitz, contact Ron Rivlin at 212-380-9303 or RRivlin@sunbgi.com.

• In a related story, on Monday we reported that Sun Broadcast Group had parted company with Affiliate Relations pros Gina Suarez and Ryan Kelly. Yesterday we also learned of the exit of fellow Affiliate Relations Manager Christine Jordan. In response to these departures, Sun Broadcast Group CEO Jason Bailey (left) issued a statement, which read, “In this ever-changing network radio landscape, we have made the decision to outsource our affiliate sales operations to companies that specialize in it as well as our producer partners who have their own relationships with the stations that use their products. This has allowed us to put all of our focus on delivering great, innovative content to our 5,000 plus affiliates and the amazing advertising clients that support us. The teams in New York and Florida will miss Ryan, Gina and Christine and wish them nothing but happiness and success in their future endeavors. They will always be family.”
