Westwood One is celebrating the 30th anniversary of U2’s timeless fifth album, The Joshua Tree, by presenting U2: The Joshua Tree Special, a two-hour program airing this weekend, May 13 and 14, on more than 100 radio stations, including KLOS/Los Angeles, WLUP/Chicago, KFOG/San Francisco, WROR/Boston, KSHE/St. Louis, WIYY/Baltimore and KQRS/Milwaukee. The Joshua Tree sold over 35 million copies and won Grammys for “Album of The Year” and “Best Rock Performance” at the 1987 Grammy Awards

The band was interviewed by the awesome Matt Pinfield, morning personality on KFOG/San Francisco and host of the nationally syndicated 2Hours with Matt Pinfield. Pinfield, who also hosted MTV’s iconic 120 Minutes, said, “It was really great to catch up with Bono, The Edge, Larry and Adam again. It was amazing to discuss everything surrounding The Joshua Tree with the guys. Over the course of our 30-plus-year friendship, I’ve seen them live many times and I think fans are in for something special on this 30th-anniversary tour. It will be magical.”

This exclusive musical event is presented by Farmers Insurance®. Stations interested in airing this exclusive broadcast should contact Neal Bird at 310-840-4207 or nbird@westwoodone.com.
