WWO Launches Rebranded ‘Ty Bentli Show’

Westwood One will ring in 2019 with the launch of The Ty Bentli Show. Actually, let’s call it a re-launch and rebranding of the former Ty, Kelly & Chuck morning show — co-host Kelly Ford left in late October after a five-year run.

The Ty Bentli Show remains based in Nashville and officially launches Monday, Jan. 7. The show still features host Ty Bentli and his co-host, Country recording artist Chuck Wicks, along with “an expanded cast of friends and characters,” so says the press release.

Bentli assumed lead hosting duties of what had been called America’s Morning Show in Sept. 2016 as Blair Garner transitioned into hosting The Blair Garner Show in overnights. Bentli’s major market resume includes WRQX/Washington, former CBS Radio Top 40 WNOW (92.3 NOW)/New York, and iHeartMedia Hot AC KBIG (104.3 MYfm)/Los Angeles.

“My dad taught me about hard work and looking out for others, my mom taught me about family and our values, and my wife taught me that you can believe in all of that while still laughing hysterically as we move through life!” says Bentli, who was raised in South Dakota by a police officer father and a loving, working mom. “Every day, this show will make the world a lot more fun — some drama, some love, tons of laughs, big stars and Country music!”

Suzanne Grimes, EVP of Marketing for Cumulus Media and President of Westwood One, commented, “We are excited to showcase Ty in this new morning environment where his genuine and engaging personality really shines. He connects with listeners in a very real way, and this is the perfect forum for him to bring more good will, compassion, and cheer to our lives every morning.” Stations interested in The Ty Bentli Showcan contact Country@WestwoodOne.com.
