Seattle Pros On The Loose

UPDATED: RAMP has learned that programming changes are afoot at iHeartMedia’s Seattle broadcast complex — we have confirmed the exit of Justin Riley, PD of Top 40 KPWK (Power 93.3) and Hot AC KBKS (Kiss 106.1), and Hunter Quinn, who was APD of both stations as well as MD/afternoon talent at KBKS. Stand by for further details later this afternoon.

Riley (left) is a native of the Pacific Northwest and had been on the job in Seattle since July 2016, earning the transfer after three years at the helm of sister stations KKRZ (Z100) and KXJM (Jam’n 107.5)/Portland, OR. Prior to his arrival in Portland in February of 2013, Riley spent six years in Albuquerque, NM programming Cumulus Top 40/AC combo KKOB and KMGA (99.5 Magic FM). Earlier in his career Riley programmed KSII/El Paso, TX and he was APD/MD of Bonneville Hot AC KQMB (Star 102.7)/Salt Lake City from 2001-2005. He started his radio journey at the age of 13 at KFFM in his hometown of Yakima, WA.

• Quinn (below, left) arrived in Seattle in January 2016 as APD/MD/afternoon host at Hot AC KBKS (106.1 Kiss FM) and added APD stripes at Top 40 clustermate KPWK (Power 93.3) in April 2017.

Prior to his Seattle oddyessy, Quinn was APD/MD/evening personality at CBS Radio’s KZZO (NOW 100.5)/Sacramento from December 2013 until May 2015. He previously programmed WZEE (Z104)/Madison, WKSI (98.3 Kiss-FM)/Winchester, VA and he was APD at WHOT/Youngstown, OH.

Looking ahead, Justin Riley can now be contacted at 505-450-6172 or jjriley1@gmail.com; Reach Hunter Quinn at 262-893-1993 or Djhunterquinn@gmail.com.

• Also out: Megan Sosne, who had done middays on Kiss since 2016. Before that she spent four years in middays at the former KLCK/Seattle until it flipped to Rock. Sosne previously did mornings at KSFM and KZZO/Sacramento and she also co-hosted the morning show on Clear Channel AC WXLY (Y102.5)/Charleston, SC.

For the past two years Sosne was an iHeartRadio Custom personality in the Adult CHR format and she was tracking stations in Portland and San Antonio. In her spare time she also hosts a podcast called “Adulting is Hard.”

Sosne told RAMP,“If you are looking for a morning show co-host, midday personality and generally nice human being, I’m available!” Megan has demos ready to go and she can be reached at megansosne@gmail.com or 209-404-1341.
