Jeffreys Upped To PD @ KUFX

Entercom Classic Rock KUFX (98.5 KFOX)/San Jose-San Francisco keeps it firmly in the family, elevating APD/MD/afternoon drive personality Tim Jeffreys into the PD chair. The move is designed to take some of the programming load off of OM Brian Figula, who will now center much of his love and attention primarily on AC sister KOIT/San Francisco. “Congrats to Tim on this much earned title,” said Figula. “This move provides more focus on the KFOX brand for our listeners, staff and clients.”

Jeffreys is a 35-year industry pro who has extensive previous market experience at Cumulus Media’s KSAN and KFOG/San Francisco and at the former KSJO/San Jose. He also worked in the Denver-Boulder market at KBCO and KBPI. He joined KFOX a year ago and was upped from weekends to his current APD/MD/pm drive post in January of this year. “Tim’s depth of experience in the Classic Rock space makes him the ideal choice for program director of KFOX,” said Steve DiNardo, VP/Market Manager of Entercom San Francisco. “We are fortunate to have him as a member of our team.” Jeffreys said, “I’m super excited for my new role at KFOX.
