Elvis Has Entered The Building
• As first reported by RAMP on Tuesday, Bay Area radio vet Elvis is indeed the new morning host on Entercom Alternative KITS (ALT 105.3)/San Francisco. He debuted this morning.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Elvis to the Entercom team,” said Greg Nemitz, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom San Francisco. “His passion and drive for radio and its multiple platforms, coupled with his knowledge and connection to the Bay Area, will provide our listeners and partners with the engaging live, local audio content they enjoy daily on ALT 105.3.”
Elvis (Dan Lay) is best known in the Bay Area for his decade of service as half of The Dog House morning show with longtime partner Jeff “JV” Vandergrift on KYLD/San Francisco (during its Wild 107days). The duo later made the cross-country move to CBS Radio’s short-lived WFNY (92.3 Free FM)/New York. In October 2015 Elvis reunited with JV to co-host The Dog House with JV and Elvis in afternoon drive on the former KKSF-AM (Talk 910)/San Francisco, along with a Doghouse podcast. Earlier in his career Elvis worked at KKRZ (Z100)/Portland, XHTZ (Z90) and KKLQ (Q106)/San Diego, KSFM/Sacramento, the late KOY-FM (Y95)/Phoenix and the former KQHT (Hot 97-7)/San Jose.
Elvis exclaimed, “I’m excited to be joining Entercom San Francisco and getting back to doing morning radio in the Bay… Let’s have some fun!”
ALT 105.3 has been without a permanent morning host since January, when it parted ways with Kevin Klein and crew.
