Taddeo To Run Cumulus Des Moines
• Midwest broadcasting pro Jack Taddeo gets to keep his Iowa driver’s license, as he is hired by Cumulus Media as VP/Market Manager of the company’s five-station Des Moines, IA cluster — Country KHKI (NASH FM 97.3), Classic Country KJJY (92.5 NASH Icon), Classic Rock KGGO, News-Talk KBGG-AM and Classic Hip-Hop KWQW (98.3 The Vibe). In making the announcement of Taddeo’s hire, Bob Walker, EVP of Operations, Cumulus Media, said, “We are thrilled to have a broadcaster like Jack Taddeo to lead the Cumulus team in Des Moines. Jack’s passion for broadcast and the impact it has in communities is contagious.”
It was just two weeks ago when Taddeo announced his resignation as Market Manager of NRG Media’s Waterloo-Cedar Falls-Cedar Rapids, IA cluster after three years. Taddeo brings an extensive radio resume to his new position, including 15 years as an owner/operator and another 15 years as a GM and programming exec — Taddeo was previously GM of Matrix LLC Chicago (formerly NextMedia Group), and for 10 years, he consulted radio stations across the U.S. as Owner/President of Radio K-T Inc. Prior to that, he was SVP of Programming, for Clear Channel/iHeartMedia and SFX/Capstar Broadcasting. Taddeo also programmed WLIT and WLAK/Chicago and he served as Director of Contemporary Programming for Studioline Digital Cable.
Taddeo commented, “I’m very excited to be joining the team in Cumulus Des Moines at such an exciting time. We have such heritage brands serving a great Midwest market and I want to thank Mary Berner, Bob Walker and Mike McVay for the opportunity.”
