Bedard Upped To SVP/Pop @ Columbia

Columbia Records has promoted Brady Bedard to Senior Vice President of Pop Promotion. He most recently served as Vice President of Rock and Alternative Promotion.

The announcement was made by Lee Leipsner, Executive Vice President of Promotion of Columbia Records, who said, “Brady has proven to be indispensable to our entire department through the years with his wide range of promotion experience at the label. His passion for our diverse roster, his great rapport with his radio peers and the Columbia staff and his keen understanding of the always-changing promotion dynamics make him the ideal executive to lead our Pop team. All of Columbia joins me in congratulating him on this well-deserved promotion.”

Bedard is a Minneapolis native who has worked at Sony/Columbia for nearly two decades, joining Sony Music as a college rep in 1998 before becoming a field marketing rep, transitioning to radio promotion for Columbia Records in 2001. In 2005 he was appointed Director of Pop Promotion, and later, Sr. Director of Promotion before he was appointed VP of Rock and Alternative Promotion in 2015.

Bedard remarked, “I want to thank Lee Leipsner, Jen Mallory and Ron Perry for their support and this opportunity. I’ve been at Columbia my entire career and this is a position I’ve always dreamed about coming up through the ranks at the label. I look forward to reaching new heights alongside this great promotion team as we deliver the world’s best artists and their groundbreaking music that continues to move the culture.”
