Fox & Butler On The Loose
• Bill Fox has exited as morning host on Townsquare Media Country WOKQ/Portsmouth, NH after two years, as the station moves in that proverbial “different direction.” OM Robby Bridges confirmed Fox’s departure and tells RAMP, “We will be evaluating the show and looking at plans for it going forward. Meantime, [existing co-host] Kira Lew remains in place and Ryan Gavin (from Top 40 sister WJBQ/Portland, ME) will be guesting with her.”
Fox joined WOKQ in Feb. 2017, coming off four-plus years as morning co-host on Pamal Broadcasting AC WYJB (B95.5)/Albany, NY. Fox previously did mornings for six years at WFNK (107.5 Frank FM)/Portland ME. He’s also worked at KXOA/Sacramento, KWYE (Y101)/Fresno, KLLY/Bakersfield and WBHT/Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA. Fox is also an Air Force vet and worked for the Armed Forces Radio Network while serving for seven years.
“I love connecting with listeners on-air, in person, and online, where I am well versed in digital media,” says Fox, who is now seeking his next opportunity in Classic Hits, Classic Rock, Adult Hits, AC or Country. “I’m excited about the future, and open to all opportunities nationwide,” he adds.
