United Stations Rocks Out With Abramson
• United Stations has wisely availed itself of the mad skillz of veteran rock promo pro Mark Abramson, who joins the company’s Programming and Production Department as Content Producer. Abramson will handle artist and label relations and content creation for HardDrive XL, the company’s nightly five-hour rock show hosted by Lou Brutus. Working closely with co-producer Bill Powell, Abramson’s new duties include the integration of all music selections, artist interviews, social media and feature content for the award-winning weeknight long-form program.
Abramson’s illustrious music industry career spans more than 30 years — 21 of those years spent at Roadrunner Records, where he helped break Slipknot, Nickelback, Type O Negative, Killswitch Engage, Theory of a Deadman and many more. His earlier stops include Century Media Records, TVT Records, The Enclave, and even a stint at Madison Square Garden.
Commenting on the addition of Abramson, United Stations EVP of Programming Andy Denemark commented, “We’re ecstatic that Mark is now part of creative group. The combination of his experience and his energy will not only help to sustain our success but to continually grow what we do. Welcome, Mark!” Abramson remarked, “For many years I worked closely with host Lou Brutus and the show’s original creative force, Roxy Myzal, and it’s an honor to step into this role and carry on what those two started. I live and breathe this format and am excited to crush this!” Your best wishes can be shared with Mark at mabramson@unitedstations.com.
