TikTok, Sony Music Announce Deal
• Wildly popular short-form video app TikTok announced a new agreement with Sony Music Entertainment (SME) to make songs from SME’s extensive artist roster widely available for creators to use in their TikTok content.
Known as a music discovery springboard for viral hits, TikTok is also a growing destination for a range of artists looking to showcase their music and connect with new fans. This agreement will enable Sony Music and its artists to use TikTok to create greater awareness for their music and further enhance artist careers. TikTok will also partner with Sony Music in promoting artists on the platform.
