Audacy Goes Country In Philly

• Audacy just jumped headfirst into the Country battle in Philadelphia by flipping Hot AC WTDY (The New 96.5) to Country as US 96.5 — the company’s 24th Country station, and aimed squarely at the front porch of Beasley’s WXTU.

“Country music has a special way of connecting people, and we are excited to bring a brand-new destination to this important market,” said Tim Roberts, Audacy Country Format VP. “Adding US 96.5 in Philadelphia expands our footprint and brings even more world-class entertainment to our listeners — it’s a terrific addition to Audacy’s strong station lineup in the city.”

The new US 96.5 will roll commercial-free until Oct. 24, and will debut its weekday on-air lineup beginning Oct. 26 — 10am-3pm: Katie and Company • 3-7pm: Coop • 7-midnight: Rob and Holly • Midnight-5am: Mo and StyckMan.

WTDY had been carrying The Bret Mega Show in morning drive… a new morning show will be announced shortly.
