Happy 35th, Almost Acoustic Xmas!
• Audacy’s World Famous KROQ/Los Angeles is bringing one of Southern California’s most enduring music traditions back for its 35th year — KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas returns to the Kia Forum on Dec. 12, featuring performances by Foo Fighters, Weezer, Sublime, Interpol, Joyce Manor, Julia Wolf, Almost Monday and The Linda Lindas.
The annual event unites generations of alternative music fans while giving back to the local community, with proceeds benefiting Para Los Niños and Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center.
“Almost Acoustic Christmas has always been about the bands and their connection with our listeners,” said Kevin Weatherly, SVP of Programming, KROQ. “That’s what makes this show so special, and we’re incredibly grateful to the artists who take the time to be part of it. Celebrating 35 years of this together is pretty amazing. And to be able to give back to two great organizations supporting local youth makes it that much more meaningful.”
Tickets go on sale Oct. 30 at 12pm PT. For more information on Almost Acoustic Christmas, please visit kroq.com/xmas.
