WBAL Up For Six AP Awards
• Hearst Television’s WBAL (NewsRadio 1090/FM 101.5)/Baltimore was recently announced as a finalist in six categories in the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association Awards. WBAL News earned five nominations, including “Outstanding Spot News” reporting for its coverage of an explosion at a row home in west Baltimore in August of 2020.
The station also received nominations in the “Outstanding Newscast” and “Documentary/In-Depth Reporting” categories, and Robert Lang and Scott Wykoff received nominations in the “Best Anchor” and “Best Reporter” categories, respectively. WBAL’s morning team of C4 and Bryan Nehman was also nominated for “Outstanding Talk Show.”
