1,500 Weeks Of Redbeard
We want to offer our congratulations to legendary Rock radio personality Redbeard on reaching a major milestone — his 29-year-old Rock radio show In The Studio with Redbeard this week celebrates 1,500 consecutive weeks of broadcast radio syndication. It was June of 1988 when Dallas radio personality and music journalist Redbeard, in conjunction with Bullet Productions launched In The Studio to Mainstream and Classic Rock radio. The series has continued to be a huge success with program producer and host Redbeard interviewing the biggest artists in Rock history, including The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Eagles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty, David Bowie and hundreds more.
This week, to mark this very special 1,500th episode, Redbeard will air an encore presentation of his 1990 interview with Sir Paul McCartney about his 1989 album Flowers In The Dirt, which is being reissued this month in multiple deluxe forms with additional music and extras. Commenting on this episode, Redbeard said, “In 1990, Paul McCartney really put the then-two year old weekly national radio series In The Studio on the map by appearing as my guest for the first time in episode #99. There is really no way to express my gratitude then or now as we share that interview once again with our audience in celebration of In The Studio’s 1,500th consecutive weekly show.” The McCartney interview is available to stream online, along with other information about In The Studio.
