ESPN 1000 Reaches 25 Sox Affiliates

• Good Karma Brands’ WMVP (ESPN 1000)/Chicago announced that Chicago White Sox regular and post season games will now be broadcast across a record-breaking 25 affiliates, extending coverage throughout the Midwest.

Eric Ostrowski, who last month was elevated to Executive Producer of the White Sox Radio Network, said, “The Sox are expected to have a great season, and our expanded affiliate reach will allow Sox fans throughout the Midwest the opportunity to cheer for our beloved Southsiders.”

In the fall of 2020, ESPN Chicago announced a multiyear agreement naming ESPN 1000 as the Chicago White Sox’s flagship radio station. The agreement included all spring training, regular season, and post season games, called by the White Sox Play-by-Play team of Len Kasper, alongside analyst Darrin Jackson, with Connor McKnight handling pre-game and post-game responsibilities.

“ESPN 1000’s incredible growth, tripling the number of affiliate stations in just two years, connects Sox fans from as far south as Champaign, Illinois, to our neighboring communities in Indiana, to the heart of Chicago baseball here with the White Sox,” said Brooks Boyer, White Sox Chief Revenue  & Marketing Officer. “Thanks to the dedication of the ESPN 1000 team, more Sox fans can tune into the excitement and energy of White Sox baseball this season.”

Keith Williams, Market Manager of ESPN 1000 said, “Growing the White Sox Network from 8 affiliate stations in 2020, to 16 stations in 2021, and in 2022 to have 25 stations is remarkable and speaks to the great partnership between the White Sox and ESPN 1000. We are excited to get the season started and for our new Executive Producer, Eric Ostrowski, to continue with the momentum.”
