Chris Cardenas Joins Townsquare Boise
• Glad to see that Chris Cardenas is off the beach and back into the water, as he joins Townsquare Media Boise, ID as Asst. OM of the cluster and afternoon personality on Hot AC KCIX (Mix 106).
You may recall that Cardenas was most recently night jock and morning show producer at Cox Media Group Country KCYY (Y100)/San Antonio until September, when he was one of many cut loose during a round of corporate downsizing.
Cardenas broke his own news in a Facebook post that reads, in part, “I’m excited to share I’ve accepted a position with Townsquare Media as Afternoon Personality for Mix 106 & Assistant Operations Manager overseeing six of our amazing brands in Boise, Idaho! I want to extend a special thanks to Chris Pickett, Cat Collins, and Mike Owens for EVERYTHING they have done to scoop me up. I can’t even think of words to describe how I’m feeling other than ‘surreal’ — it’s incredible and we’re beyond blessed.”
The Boise cluster also includes Top 40 KSAS (103.5 Kiss FM), AC KXLT (107.9 Lite FM), Country KAWO (104.3 WOW Country), Urban KFXD (Power 105.5) and News-Talk KIDO-AM.
