Hastings Takes Command Of Chicago’s Drive
• Hubbard Radio Classic Rock WDRV (97.1 The Drive)/Chicago has hired Keith Hastings as its new Brand and Content Director, with a start date of April 18. He will succeed Rob Cressman, who recently announced his retirement from radio.
Hastings comes to Chicago after nine years with Cox Media Group San Antonio, where he was Director of Operations, PD of Active Rock KISS & Classic Rock KTKX and served as CMG Rock Formats Leader. Hastings’ career as a rock programmer spans more than four decades, including PD stints at WCSX/Detroit, WAAF/Boston and 18 years with Saga Communications, where he programmed WAQY/Springfield, MA and the late WLZR/Milwaukee and its successor, WHQG (102.9 The Hog). He also launched and consulted KAZR/Des Moines and WLZX (Lazer 99.3)/Springfield, MA.
