Condolences: Brian Demay
• We’ve lost another talented industry pro… we are saddened to report that Brian Demay, PD and midday personality at Cumulus AC WRRM (Warm 98.5)/Cincinnati, has lost his battle with Renal Cell Carcinoma. Demay had publicly revealed his diagnosis in a Sept. 2022 Facebook post and had been posting periodic updates on his battle.
On Tuesday, Jan. 3, WRRM shared the heartbreaking news of Demay’s passing in an online post that reads: “Our hearts are broken today. We have lost our boss, our leader, our friend, our co-worker, Brian Demay. Brian bravely fought cancer for the past few months, a battle he disclosed to his listeners only recently. Brian has been the Program Director and air personality here at Warm since the summer of 2016, a role he cherished and to which he dedicated himself fiercely. The only thing that gave Brian greater pride and joy was his family. We want to wrap his wife, Heather, his children, Conner and Darcy, his mother, Marianne, and his brothers, Pete and Drew, in our loving embrace right now, and let them know that they are not alone in their grief.”
Demay joined WRRM in May 2016, transferring from the PD post at AC sister WWLI (Lite Rock 105)/Providence. He had also served as AC Corporate PD for Cumulus. Demay’s extensive programming resume also included Beasley AC WJBR/Wilmington, DE, Entercom Hot AC WTSS (Star 102.5)/Buffalo, NYand Centennial AC WBQB (B101.5)/Fredericksburg, VA. He earlier served as OM for Clear Channel Charlottesville, VA and WCLR, WZLR & WPTW/Dayton, OH.
Demay’s many friends and colleagues are sharing their heartfelt condolences on his Facebook page.
