Moving Day At CMG Orlando
• Cox Media Group Orlando announced a bunch of personnel adjustments at Country WWKA (K92.3) and Classic Hits 98.9 WMMO — Let’s start at K92.3, where former morning show producer Chloe Nelson (center) returns from sister WNGC/Athens, GA and formally joins the K92.3 morning show alongside Obie Diaz (left) and Slater (right), who moves up from afternoon drive to rejoin the morning show with Diaz and Nelson.
Slater was previously the K92.3 morning show producer and co-host before Nelson, and has has been doing afternoons for the past two years.
But wait! There’s more! K92.3 midday personality Melissa Quinones (left) is upped to Music Director and moves to afternoon drive, while cluster vet Jay Edwards will take over the midday shift on K92.3 and afternoons on WMMO. Edwards (right) is a 20-year market veteran who most recently produced the morning show across the hall on News-Talk WDBO.
“I’m thrilled that we have the opportunity to elevate internal CMG talent to these essential roles,” said a visibly thrilled Steve Stewart, Director of Operations for CMG Orlando Radio. “The entire team represents the passion, culture, and spirit of Orlando and we believe these changes will strengthen the bond we have with our audience. We’re confident our community will love this new direction!”
