Busy Day At Connoisseur CT

• Connoisseur Media Connecticut announced several key internal moves, starting with the arrival of Jennifer Grullon as afternoon co-host on Hot AC WEZN (Star 99.9)/Bridgeport, plugging in alongside market vet Kevin Begley.

Grullon (left), who most recently did middays at WXXX (95 Triple X)/Burlington, VT, remarked, “I could not be more excited to join Kevin Begley at Star 99.9. Thank you to the whole team at Connoisseur Media for challenging me with this wonderful opportunity!” The newly minted duo of Kevin & Jenna will debut May 15 for what we are told will be “a fun, fast-moving, local-focused ‘morning show in the afternoon’-style program.”

But Wait! There’s More! Longtime Production Director Ed Oliveira (right) is elevated to a new a role of overseeing “Ferocious Content” — the video arm of Connoisseur Media, while also continuing to manage the production, traffic and continuity departments within the CT cluster. “I have had the pleasure of working with Ed for over 20 years, from Richmond to Boston, and for the last 12 here in Connecticut,” said VP of Programming Keith Dakin. “Ed is one of the most forward-thinking guys I’ve ever met. Putting him in charge of our video production was a no-brainer move.”

And with Oliveira moving up the ladder, Asst. Production Director Andrew Krause is promoted to Actual Production Director. Krause is a homegrown talent who started as an intern and worked his way up through pretty much every job in the building. Dakin added, “Andrew is an incredibly dedicated employee and is great with clients. This is a perfect fit for him.”
