Billy The Kidd Wakes Up At KDMX/Dallas

• iHeartMedia Dallas announced the return of prodigal son Billy the Kidd to the DFW airwaves, this time as the newly named morning personality on Hot AC KDMX, which was recently rebranded as The New Mix 102.9.

Billy has been an integral part of the iHeart Dallas DNA since the early 2000s, spending the better part of two decades across the hall on Top 40 sister KHKS (106.1 Kiss FM), originally as Music Director and nights until 2006, when he shifted to afternoon drive, followed by syndication of The Billy the Kidd Show. He exited Kiss FM in February, while hinting he would soon resurface in new position TBA. Ta da!

The debut of Billy The Kidd in the Morning with Candice Lopez pairs Billy with another DFW radio veteran, Candice Lopez, whose origins in the industry date back her stint with a previous incarnation of Mix 102.9 back in 2002.
