Katz Held Over At WRVA/Richmond
• Audacy Richmond has signed Newsradio WRVA afternoon host Jeff Katz to a contract extension. Katz has done afternoon drive at WRVA for the past 10 years.
While waiting for the ink to dry, Bennett Zier, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Virginia, said of Katz, “Jeff is a great citizen of Virginia and continues to be an important part of the WRVA family.”
Katz noted, “During the past decade, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the people of Central Virginia. This community has been so welcoming to my family and I cherish having the chance to help out a bit by serving as an advocate for special needs kids, saluting our law enforcement officers and sharing vital news and information.”
Bonus Katz Fun Facts: Katz has continuously been named “Best Afternoon Radio Show Host” by the readers of The Richmond Times-Dispatch since the category was introduced, and was the winner of the 2022 Humanitarian of the Year award presented by TALKERS Magazine, which also named him one of the “Top 50 Talk Show Hosts in America.” Katz was selected as one of the “Top 3 Afternoon Hosts in America” by Barrett News Media.
