Music Has The Power To Heal

• Premiere Networks and veteran programmer and consultant Buzz Knight announced a partnership that will bring the popular podcast Music Saved Me to the iHeartPodcasts network, effective today.

Hosted by radio and television personality Lynn Hoffman and produced by Buzz Knight Media, Music Saved Me highlights how music can be a healing device for the mental health crisis with stories of passion and resilience from musicians who have faced their own personal struggles. Past guests included Wynonna, Brent Smith from Shinedown, Jelly Roll, Pat Monahan from Train, Dee Snider from Twisted Sister, and many others.

Music Saved Me debuts on iHeartPodcasts with a new interview with Darryl McDaniels, founding member of the iconic Hip-Hop group Run-DMC, who will share his inspirational story about how he overcame obstacles and life’s challenges, and how he’s giving back by helping future generations.

“It’s a dream come true to collaborate and kick off the new year with one of my mentors and dearest friends, Buzz Knight, and to partner with Premiere Networks and iHeartPodcasts,” said Hoffman. “Being able to highlight and share meaningful stories of strength and perseverance through the healing power of music, from up-and-coming artists and legends of the music business, is one of the most rewarding and humbling experiences of my career.”

Julie Talbott, President of Premiere Networks, said, “We’re excited to partner with Buzz Knight Media to bring Music Saved Me to iHeartPodcasts’ network. This podcast is both entertaining and healing and reinforces the positive effect music has on our mental health. We look forward to sharing this podcast with even more passionate music fans.”

Knight remarked, “I’m honored to collaborate with the incredible Lynn Hoffman on the uplifting mission of Music Saved Me, and I couldn’t be more excited that the podcast joins my Takin’ A Walk series on iHeartPodcasts. Thanks to Julie Talbott and Premiere Networks once again for their support.”
