Sam Now The Boss Of Bob In San Antonio

• As Connoisseur Media Adult Hits 102.7 KJXK/San Antonio embraces its new identity as the new 102.7 Bob FM, the company announced that market veteran Sam Pieprzyca has been promoted from APD to Program Director.

Pieprzyca has more than two decades of experience in the Adult Hits format in San Antonio, along with deep ties to the station and the local community. His expanded role will help guide the overall sound and personality of Bob FM as it continues programming with a broader playlist featuring favorites and deeper cuts from the ’80s, ’90s, and ’00s.

“I grew up listening to 102.7 here in San Antonio, and it’s always felt like part of this city’s soundtrack,” said Pieprzyca, who has worked at KJXK since it was owned by Border Media and later, Alpha Media. “It’s evolved over the years, but the focus is still the same — great music. I’m proud to take on a bigger role in continuing that tradition for San Antonio.”

“Sam’s long-standing connection to the market and his understanding of the format made him the natural choice to lead the new Bob FM era,” said Keith Dakin, VP of Programming for Connoisseur Media. “With a refreshed brand and a seasoned local host like Sam, 102.7 Bob FM will deliver a more personal and music-driven experience for listeners across South Texas.”

OM Greg Martin said, “Sam has worked in the Adult Hits format for over 20 years in San Antonio and understands better than anyone what 102.7 Bob FM should sound like to reflect the city’s rhythm and culture. He’s also one of the most creative writers and idea people you’ll ever meet. This promotion is very well deserved.”

Morgan Harrison, VP/Market Manager of Connoisseur Media San Antonio, remarked, “Sam has been a passionate, ideating, and radio-loving member of the team for years. The commitment and loyalty he has shown not only in our building with colleagues, but to the community of San Antonio, made him the obvious choice to lead 102.7 into the future. We are excited to see what he can do at the helm and with the direction of both Greg Martin and Keith Dakin.”
