Shamrock Selling WZBA/Baltimore To K-Love, Inc.

• RAMP has learned that Times-Shamrock Classic Rock WZBA (100.7 The Bay)/Baltimore is being spun off to Christian broadcaster K-Love Inc. Station staffers were informed of this development yesterday.

Here is the official word: “A contract has been signed and an application is being filed with the FCC for the transfer of WZBA-FM/Westminster, MD, W261CD-FX/Baltimore, MD, and W298CG-FX/Bel Air, MD from Shamrock Communications, Inc. to K-LOVE, Inc.

The seller, Shamrock Communications, Inc., a Pennsylvania-based corporation, is led by acting CEO, Diane Sutter. Shamrock owns additional radio stations in Scranton, PA and Las Vegas, NV.

The buyer, K-LOVE, Inc., is a Tennessee-based non-profit corporation headed by CEO Tom Stultz. K-LOVE, Inc. owns or operates radio stations across all 50 states.

WZBA-FM operates at 100.7 MHz, with 25.000 kW at 689′ HAAT • W261CD-FX operates at 100.1 MHz, with 0.002 kW at 305′ HAAT • W298CG-FX operates at 107.5 MHz, with 0.250 kW at 177′ HAAT.
