Rude Awakening At Urban One DFW

• Urban One Dallas has tapped 10-year company veteran Yonni Rude as Operations Manager, overseeing programming for Urban duo KBFB (97.9 The Beat) and KKDA (K104), and Urban AC KRNB (Smooth 105.7).

Rude earns the transfer to the Dallas team after serving for the past three years with Urban One Houston as Program Director of Hip Hop KBXX (97.9 The Box), Urban AC KMJQ (Majic 102.1), and Urban Gospel Praise 102.1 (KMJQ-HD2). Before that he was Executive Producer of the nationally syndicated The Morning Hustle.

Rude has been with Radio One since Oct. 2016, most notably serving as Ops Manager of the company’s Cleveland and Richmond groups. Before joining Radio One, Rude spent 16 years in the Charleston, SC market, more recently as PD/afternoons on Cumulus Top 40 WSSX (95SX). From 2011-2013 he was APD/interim OM across the hall for Urban WWWZ (Z93 Jamz) and Urban AC WMGL (Magic 107.3), and from 2000-2011 he was MD/afternoon talent on WWWZ under previous owner Citadel. Earlier in his career Rude was MD/afternoons on Beasley Urban WZFX (Foxy 99)/Fayetteville, NC.
