Nikki Preston Wakes Up In Buffalo
• Audacy Top 40 WKSE (Kiss 98.5)/Buffalo has hired Nikki Preston as morning show co-host, joining Nicholas Picholas and Wease to create Nick, Nikki & Wease, weekday mornings from 6-10am ET.
“We are excited to welcome Nikki Preston to Audacy Buffalo,” said Sue O’Neil, Audacy Regional VP. Her on-air, podcast experience makes her a strong addition to mornings. We look forward to teaming her up with Nicholas and Wease to wake up listeners every day.”
Preston is a Rochester, NY native who launched her media career locally as a host on WZNE (94.1 The Zone) and co-host of Get Out of the House on News 10 NBC. She later moved to the Pacific time zone, producing and co-hosting The Jesse Duran Show on KOLA 99.9/San Bernardino and The Dana & Jayson Show on Audacy’s KBZT (ALT 94.9)/San Diego. Preston spent the past eight years in middays on Anaheim Broadcasting Classic Rock 96.7 KCAL/Riverside-San Bernardino until August, when the station made the fateful decision to go jockless 24/7.
“I’m beyond excited to be returning to Western New York after more than a decade on-air in Southern California,” said Preston. “I can’t thank Sue O’Neil and the entire team enough for welcoming me back and allowing me to get behind the mic and do what I love, in a place that has always felt like home.”
Preston succeeds market icon Janet Snyder, who retired in May after a remarkable 32-year run on the Kiss morning show.
