1.25 Million Reasons To Be Proud
We are awed by the news that KALC (Alice 105.9)/Denver just completed its annual “Alice 105.9 Cares for Kids” Radiothon — a two-day endeavor that raised an astonishing $1.25 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals benefiting Children’s Hospital Colorado.
The live broadcast started at 6am last Thursday, February 9 and wrapped up at 6pm Friday. During the two days, Alice 105.9 on-air talent interviewed past and present patients of the hospital, played audio montages of children’s life-altering and inspirational stories and solicited listeners to make donations. When it was over, the hospital staff was joined by patients and families to present this giant check (literally and figuratively) to Children’s Colorado. This record-breaking and successful Radiothon continues to be one of the top Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Radiothons in the country. This year’s fundraiser brings Alice’s 16-year total contribution to over $21.95 million!
