Broadcasters Foundation Builds Awareness
The Broadcasters Foundation of America has produced a 30-second PSA as part of its outreach and awareness campaign, which launched earlier this spring. The Broadcasters Foundation of America provides financial assistance to broadcasters who are in acute need due to critical illness, accident or other serious misfortune. The goal of the outreach campaign and the PSA is to ensure that broadcasters know about the Foundation’s ongoing mission of granting hope so that those in need can apply for aid.
“It is unacceptable that a broadcaster in need may not know that the Broadcasters Foundation is here to provide assistance,” said Jim Thompson, President of the Broadcasters Foundation of America. “We are reaching out aggressively, across every avenue, to get our message of granting hope heard.” In addition to the PSA, the Broadcasters Foundation is working with networks, broadcast groups, the trade press, state associations, and more to get out its message. Radio stations interested in airing this important PSA can download it by visiting broadcastersfoundation.org and clicking on “News” from the drop-down menu.
