Community Broadcasters Comes Thru For Kids

• Community Broadcasters’ Florence, SC stations just completed a three-day Radiothon to benefit McLeod Children’s Hospital in Florence and the Children’s Miracle Network — WWKT (99.3 The Cat)/Florence, WFRK (Live 95.3), WSIM-HD3 (Star 97.1) and WPDT (Almighty 105.1) all hosted live broadcasts from McLeod during the Radiothon, spotlighting the services the Hospital offers and sharing stories from some of the families whose children have received treatment there. We are pleased to report that the Radiothon collected a total of $120,054 in listener donations, which will be directed to supporting the services and programs that McLeod Children’s Hospital provides for families in the local Florence community and the Pee Dee region of South Carolina.

Wayne Mulling, VP of Community Broadcasters, said, “I’m thrilled that once again we have had the privilege of  helping in this worthy endeavor of raising funds for McLeod Children’s Hospital thru Children’s Miracle Network. ‘Community’ is not just part of our name – it’s what we are all about — all year long, and this year, we raised the highest amount ever raised during Radiothon, in over 20 years of CMN Radiothon benefitting McLeod Children’s Hospital — over $120,054 in three days. That is both exciting and inspirational, and I want to thank everyone who gave from their hearts, and all our local businesses who helped in sponsoring the event. I can’t wait till 2023 to see what new heights are achieved then!”
