Remembering Kip Taylor
Taylor’s radio career includes a stint as PD of WDCG (G105)/Raleigh in the late ’90s and a stop at the late the former KISF/Kansas City. He later served as Director of Sales Operations for Cox Radio Interactive, and held other senior digital positions at various firms. Taylor was most recently Sr. Product Manager for CLX Communications in Atlanta until his mounting medical challenges forced him to retire in March of 2019.
The entry reads, in part, “Kip personified perspective, perseverance, and positivity. When he learned of his diagnosis a few short years ago, he didn’t let it get him down. Instead, he dug in, did the work, and became an amazing advocate for ALS research and the hunt for a cure. Two years ago, at the annual Atlanta ALS walk, Kip gave the keynote speech. His inspirational message struck a chord with the crowd and ultimately became the theme for his journey: ‘Keep It Positive.'”
In closing, the entry reads, “Today we ask that anyone who wants to celebrate Kip’s life and has the means to support Michelle, Meredith, Lexi and Brody, please donate whatever amount you feel comfortable. Your financial gift will help them get through this incredibly difficult time and be set aside for educational expenses down the road. If you are able, please show the same love and support to the Heinzmann family that Kip showed his entire life to the people he cared about.” You may also leave a message on Kip’s Facebook page.
