• UPDATED: Entercom Atlanta has undergone a reduction in force, parting ways with Digital Program Director Rob Hamilton and Amanda Kelly, who was a member of the Jenn & Friends morning show and solo midday host on Hot AC WSTR (Star 94.1). The news of the two departures, which happened just as new PD Jerry McKenna arrived in town, was originally carried in Rodney Ho‘s Radio & TV Talk column in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and were independently confirmed by RAMP.
Hamilton is a 29-year industry pro who got his big break as MD/nights at iHeartMedia’s WTPT (93.3 The Planet)/Greenville, SC, followed by eight years with Beasley’s WCHZ (95 Rock)/Augusta, GA and Promotions Director for the seven-station cluster.
In 2006 Hamilton was hired by Cumulus Atlanta as Interactive Media & Marketing Director for 99X and WWWQ (Q100), a seven-year stint that ran until 2013, when CBS Radio hired him at WZGC (92.9 The Game). After the Entercom/CBS Radio merger, Hamilton become Digital Lead for the Atlanta cluster and added Digital PD duties for Star 94.1, 1380 WAOK and more recently, Urban WVEE (V-103).
