Entercom Switches To BDSradio
• MRC Data/Nielsen Music continues to make important inroads in gaining market share in Radio. To that end, the MRC division has struck a new deal with Entercom, which, after a 10+-year run with Mediabase, has chosen to make the switch to BDSradio. The move will give Entercom full access to BDSradio’s newly redesigned platform, while providing them with the ability to view streaming data side-by-side with airplay, and enjoy product upgrades like the new custom features, like Research Dashboard, which allows programmers to view their own proprietary music research data side by side with BDS’ spin and streaming info to create a score ranking for each song. This feature, dubbed “Music Meeting in a Box” consolidates the most important song data points to allow for more informed and efficient music decisions, we are told.
“As we continue to leverage advanced data and analytics combined with our best in class programmers to better serve our audience, we’re thrilled to partner with BDSradio to tap into their expanded and robust platform,” said Jeff Sottolano, Executive Vice President, Programming, Entercom. “This partnership will allow us gain deeper insights to listeners’ tastes, better inform our music curation and enable us to deliver programming tailored to our audience’s consumption and daily listening habits.”
