Haughton Named EVP/Gen. Counsel, MSG Ent.
• Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. announced that Jamal Haughton has been named Executive Vice President and General Counsel, effective Dec. 6. MSG Entertainment is a leader in live entertainment, featuring renowned venues, entertainment brands and regional sports and entertainment networks. The Company has also unveiled plans for state-of-the-art venues, called MSG Sphere, and is currently building its first venue in Las Vegas.
Haughton transitions from Samsung Electronics America, Inc., where he most recently served as SVP & General Counsel. Prior to joining Samsung in 2016, Haughton spent 10 years at Cablevision Systems Corporation, rising to SVP, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary.
In his new MSG Entertainment role, Haughton will serve as head of the Company’s Legal department and will be responsible for and direct MSG Entertainment’s corporate and business legal affairs, including managing the development, negotiation and execution of all material business transactions.
Haughton will report to Jim Dolan, Executive Chairman & CEO of MSG Entertainment, who said, “We are pleased to welcome Jamal, who was also an important member of our legal team at Cablevision. Jamal brings significant experience in high-profile corporate and business legal matters, and we are fortunate to have such a seasoned executive in this important role as we continue to pursue our plans for growth, driven by our MSG Sphere initiative.”
