Mason Rounds The Clubhouse Turn

Mason Dan headsetIf this dapper gentleman in the headset looks familiar, that’s because he is — former CBS Radio President and CEO Dan Mason has joined Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN) as host and analyst beginning next month with coverage of the Fountain of Youth Stakes and The Florida Derby at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, FL. “Dan is not only an accomplished radio broadcaster but a longtime horseman as well,” said Mike Penna, President of the Lexington, KY-based HRRN. “His native Kentucky roots blends perfectly with our presentation. He will bring an additional perspective to complement our expanding coverage.”

Mason, currently staying plenty busy as Sr. Advisor for Broadcast Relations for iHeartMedia and Chair of The Broadcasters Foundation, remarked, “I’ve followed Mike and his team since day one. His journey and success story at HRRN has been phenomenal, as it has grown from its base in Kentucky to now internationally. I look forward to being part of many new chapters to come.” In partnership with NBC Sports and Westwood One, HRRN provides exclusive radio coverage of all three Triple Crown races — The Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes.
